Elena Silva

Elena N. Silva, age 84, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on August 24, 2026 in Roswell, NM. SERVICES: Visitation will be on September 9, 2026, between the hours of 11am to 8pm at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held September 11, 2026 at 2pm at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Galindo officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. On January 5, 1942, Elena N. Silva was born in Villa Aldama, Chihuahua to Jesus Jose Silva and Elena Nora. Paternal grandparents were Dionisio Silva and Natividad Torres. Maternal grandparents were Braulio Nora and Anastacia Rojas. Elena Silva worked for Levi’s Strauss as a seamstress until she retired in 1995. Elena enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved all the get togethers at her house. One of her favorite things to do was watch old movies and shows in Spanish. Elena was a member of Church On The Move. She attended and served at her church for more than twenty years. Elena was a very giving and loving mother, grandmother, tia, and friend to many people. She will be missed by her family and friends. Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Elena are her children, Oralia Torres(Anthony), Silvia Cardona(Ramon) and Danny Murillo(Miguelina) Her grandchildren Orlidia Garcia(Thomas) , Amanda Jauregui, Greg Jauregui, Gabriel Jauregui, Mario B. Cardona Jr, Alex Cardona, Joshua Murillo, Jessica Murillo, Alfredo Murillo Jr., Aaron Murillo, and Ashley Murillo and her daughter-in-law Lola Murillo, great-grandchildren Christy Ruiz, Annalycia Ruiz, Joliah Rodriguez, Mariza Rivas, Santiago Garcia, Mario B. Cardona III, Valentin Cardona, Dominic Cardona, Maryiah Cardona (Leo), Desiree Cardona, Damian Cardona, and Zariana Bencomo. Her brothers-In-law that loved her as their sister, Enrique Murillo, Marcos Murillo, Ruben Murillo, sister-in-law Ofelia Valencia(Alejandro), sister-in law Rosa Murillo, and many nieces and nephews. Elena is preceded in death by her ex-husband Alberto Murillo, son Alfredo Murillo, sister-in-law Guadalupe Murillo, sister-In-law Maria Murillo, brother-in-law Rosalio Murillo, her parents, and her siblings. HONARARY PALLBLEARERS will be Alex Cardona, Gabriel Jauregui, Joshua Murillo, Danny Murillo, Leo Chance, and Alfredo Murillo Jr. The family of Elena wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Ambercare that would bring meals and took such good care of her, the Hospice staff, to Veronica from Blue Cross, all the friends and family that came to visit her, to sit with her, and to those that called to check on her and to those that prayed for her. Special thanks to Enrique Murillo and his sons for always looking out for her, and to Rosa Murillo. We are forever grateful to all of you. Elena’s tribute was written in honor of her by her family.
