Fannie Dansby

We are rejoicing with Fannie Joe Capps Dansby, who left to be with her Lord and Savior on February 26, 2013. She began her life, in Cuervo, New Mexico, on April 29, 1930. She was born to Lloyd H. Capps and Sarah Jane Capps. The family later moved to House, New Mexico, where she spent many happy years growing up around a loving family and many lifelong friends. After graduating high school, she went to Eastern New Mexico University where she gained her bachelor’s degree and moved to Roswell, New Mexico where she taught Physical Education. There, she met and married her husband Leon Dansby. After beginning a family, she dedicated her life to raising her children, and later, grand children. Her great strength through the years has been her love and devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Who with Him, all things are possible and there are no obstacles that cannot be overcome. She is survived by her husband, Leon Dansby, her children Jim and Joyce Dansby, Jeri Dansby, and Lee L’Heureux, Tammie and Garen Saulsberry, John and Michelle Dansby. She has many beautiful grand children, Jennifer, Sarah, and Erik Marquez and Michelle Lopez; Ross and Terese Dansby; Emily Dansby; Leah and Trent Gary; Rachael, Johnathan, Joshua, and Caleb Dansby. What a blessing it was for her to see her two beautiful great grand babies, Cael and Caedman Gary. She also has many nieces and nephews that have loved her and shared many fond memories throughout the years. She is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd H. Capps and Sarah Jane Capps. Brothers and sisters; Gracy Capps, Earlene Cummiford, Irene Cole, Robert Capps, Ruby, Lewis, and Lloyd Capps Jr. Pallbearers will be Erik Marquez, Jim, John, and Johnathan Dansby. Honorary pall bearers will be Joshua, Caleb, and Ross Dansby, Lee L’Heureux, Garen Saulsberry, Trent Gary, Roy, Ron, and Neil Capps, Cael, and Caedman Gary. An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life. She looks for wool and flax and works with her hands in delight. She is like merchant ships; she brings her food from afar She rises also while it is still night and gives food to her household and portions to her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; from her earnings she plants a vineyard. She girds herself with strength and makes her arms strong. She senses that her gain is good; Her lamp does not go out at night. She stretches out her hands to the distaff, and her hands grasp the spindle. She extends her hand to the poor, and she stretches out her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household, for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She makes coverings for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple, Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and bless her… Many daughters have done nobly, “But you excel them all”. Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her the product of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates. Proverbs 31:10-31 Mama, Grandma, we are who we are today, because of the, love, dedication, and light that shines from within you, given to you by our God and Father….We love and Thank you, especially for being that prayer warrior, and standing in the gap for each of us. Graveside services will be held in House, New Mexico on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 10:30am.
