Michael Scott Crabtree

A loving, kind, and generous man, Michael Scott Crabtree, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. A memorial service for Michael will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Friday, July 17, 2020, at 2:00 PM. On July 10, 1983, Michael was born to Michael L. and Michele D. Crabtree in Roswell, New Mexico. He graduated from Goddard High School in 2002. All who knew Michael knew his favorite pastimes were reading a good book, spending time with family and friends, hiking with his son Felix, and summer road trips with Bianca. He believed all you needed was love and a few cats. Michael’s favorite book was The Hobbit, and his favorite hockey team was the Detroit Red Wings. In 1994, Michael competed in the International World Cup of Martial Arts in Sydney, Australia, placing 2nd amongst 104 other kids. He was nicknamed the “Cat Whisperer” and never met a cat that didn’t like him. Michael had a way with animals, just like his late mother, Michele. Michael is survived by his fiancé, Bianca; son, Felix; father, Michael L. Crabtree; nephews: Isaiah Leos and Brandon Lee Crabtree; and numerous nieces and nephews on Bianca’s side of the family that love and will deeply miss their Uncle Mike. He considered all of Bianca’s nine siblings as his own. Michael is also survived by the family’s precious cats: Riley, Zazzy, and Bumper. Preceding Michael in death are his mother, Michele Crabtree; brothers: Jason and Brandon Crabtree; paternal grandparents: Foye M Crabtree and Mae Burdette; maternal grandparents: Arthur and Janet Farley; as well as his very best friend, Steven “Steve-O” James. The family of Michael Crabtree would like to thank all of the friends and family who have offered their deepest sympathies, cards, flowers, and food.
