RoseAnn Weimer

RoseAnn Weimer, 55, of Roswell, NM, passed away on September 7, 2021, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Visitation will be Anderson Bethany on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. There will be a family-led short service with a memorial video from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Funeral Services will follow at South Park Cemetery from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm, where she will be buried at the foot of her beloved husband. RoseAnn was born in Las Lunas, NM on March 25, 1936. She married her lifelong love, Victor Weimer, on September 30, 1960. She was a dedicated wife as she moved all over the U.S with her husband while he was in the military. The family planted roots in Dexter, NM, and they eventually moved to Roswell. Rose was a very proud woman who devoted her life to her kids and grandchildren. She enjoyed running her flea markets, bowling in the Rowell City Bowling League. Her life enjoyments included fishing, making jewelry and selling them at local events, going to the fair for a funnel cake, traveling, going to BINGO & casino, and sitting on the porch every evening having conversations with her Mijo Mike. Her sons remember her as never missing one of their sporting games “she was our greatest fan.” When her sons played against each other, she would cheer for both at the same time [“such a mother thing’] [love you mom]. The family was held together by her sense of humor, stern ways & “the Don’t mess with me Stare!”. RoseAnn was known not to sugarcoat her advice or opinion about a matter. Everything she did and said was out of love. She always said life is too short to care what others think about you, and you should always do what makes you happy. Her words of wisdom will be greatly missed. It was funny to listen to her as she told stories, yet the story didn’t quite seem the way she told it. LOL!! Kissing her grandchildren on the forehead was her way of greeting them, and it was funny as she always left her red lipstick on your face. RoseAnn is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Weimer; daughters: Juanita Luevano and Mary Martinez; grandchildren: Rosemary Martinez-Zepeda and Johnny Martinez. RoseAnn is survived by her sons: Leroy Weimer and wife Araceli of Roswell, Felix Weimer of Roswell; daughter, Liza Corona of California; and her mijo, Mike Luevano of Roswell; grandchildren to include: Victor, Vincent, Ruth, Virginia, Jesse, JoeAnthony Martinez of Colorado, RoseAnna & Joseph Weimer, JP & Christian Nelson of California, Marisol Medina-Linares of Roswell; Marcos, Eric Weimer, Sara Linares, & Meagan Ponce of Roswell: Debbie Luevano-Cooper, Michael & Andrew Luevano of Roswell: Marie Salas of Albuquerque & John Erin Weimer of Roswell; as well as sixty-five great-grandchildren and twenty-one great-great-grandchildren. She loved all her grandchildren, and she always asked about them. With special acknowledgment to her best friend, Beatrice “Ms. B.” who became a sister in life to Rose, Ms. B never missed a morning of having coffee with Rose even after she became ill. Ms. B would just sit next to Rose. Thank you. The family of RoseAnn wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Anderson Bethany and staff, Comfort Keepers staff (Laura, Destiny, Valerie) and Encompass staff (Elvira, Torrie, Leslie) for the special care they provided to Rose.
