Obituary for Susan Garcia In Loving Memory of Susan Garcia December 31, 1957 – January 6, 2026 Susan Garcia, age 68, of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on January 6th, 2026 due to a brief battle with cancer. Susan was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and friend whose kindness and bright smile touched everyone she met. Family and friends are invited to take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Susan’s family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 26th at 1:00pm at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services to follow at South Park Cemetery. Susan was born on December 31st, 1957, in Roswell, NM, to Ezequiel “Junior” Garcia and Betty Garcia. Those left to cherish and treasure memories of Susan are her children: Daughter- Mandy Aragon and her husband Eric Aragon, Daughter- Katherine Peralta and her husband Marcelino “Macho” Peralta, Son- Jon-Michael Garcia and his wife Sarah Garcia and Daughter-Elizabeth Zamora. She leaves behind her treasured Grandchildren Evan Aragon, Serena Aragon, Ella Peralta, Charlie Peralta, Amelia Aragon and Bonnie Peralta. She is also survived by her loving little sister Gloria Garcia and her niece Emma Garcia, nephew Kytle Hood and her lifelong best friend who was like a sister Deloris Espinoza. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Ezequiel and Betty Garcia, Brother Andy Garcia, Sister’s Linda and Patricia Garcia, as well as numerous loving family and friends. Susan had a gift for expressing herself through her love of arts and crafting. She decorated her home beautifully, decorated for weddings, hand crafted jewelry, made beautiful holiday wreaths, just to name a few. She enjoyed music, her favorite being Dwight Yoakam and Snoop Dogg. Susan loved sitting outside and enjoying warm weather while she watched the birds and butterflies fly by. She loved all her children and was very proud of the people they have become. She loved her Grandchildren with all of her heart and her legacy will live through them forever. She loved through service and was always offering care and showing kindness to those in need. Her smile and laugh were contagious and will never be forgotten. Susan was a child of God and attended Church on the Move in Roswell. At the end of Susan’s days on earth she stated that she was not afraid of what was to come. Susan knew she’d live for all eternity in Heaven with the Prince of Peace when her time on earth was done. Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” The family of Susan Garcia would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to family and friends who have offered their support and sympathy though calls and visits. Also to those who loved Susan and offered friendship and kindness to her. Susan was one of a kind and will be truly missed.
