Valois Felix Torres, 81, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Services are under the direction of Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory. Valois “Felix el Gato” Torres was born November 20th, 1943, to Candido & Eulalia Torres; and peacefully left this earth on Shabbat November 23, 2024. Felix is preceded in death by his paternal & maternal grandparents, parents, and grandson Joseph Gregorio Torres. Those left to cherish his memories are his lifelong partner Cynthia “Trudy” Schellstede; daughter Angela Chavez, and grandchildren, Christopher Torres & spouse Jessica, Alexis Torres, Izaiah Chavez, and bonus grandson Jeremy Rucker; son Fabian Torres & spouse Kim, grandchildren, Fabian & Rihanna Torres; son Damian Torres; daughter Marcia Castanon; granddaughters Jenna, Maria and Aubrey Castanon; daughter Theresa Torres; and son Adrial Torres. Siblings include Alicia Larranaga and spouse George, Margarita Luevano and spouse Guadalupe, Antonio Torres and spouse Connie, and Leroy Torres. Also, many great-grandchildren; Chrisette, Chriselle and Zayden Torres, Thomas Chavez, Angela, and Valentin Ortega. He also left behind a bonus daughter Deborah Chavez, grandchildren Annelise, Janelle, Johnny, and Ezra. “Felix el Gato” will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Felix was a dedicated physical therapist, and a talented musician, and was known for his unwavering beliefs and deep love for those around him. Felix touched the hearts of many and had a gift for making everyone feel like they were a friend. His humor and quick wit brought joy to countless lives and he was always ready with a joke or a correction to someone's vocabulary (…it’s behind the preposition). He had a passionate heart for the Cowboys, Celtics, and the Yankees. The family would like to give special thanks to Ambercare and Gentiva Hospice for their services. Special thanks to Tracy Ornelas for her time and compassion while she assisted with end-of-life care. The family would also like to thank Quality Janitorial for their support. Felix will be deeply missed by all who knew him, leaving behind cherished memories and lasting impressions in the hearts of his family and friends. In honoring his memory, may we carry forward his spirit of kindness, humor (sarcasm), and love. Forever in our hearts, dear Felix.
